The garden was the star of this brief. We layered path, tree-uplight, wall-wash and moonlight scenes so the house looks composed at 6pm, 9pm and midnight — each with a distinct mood.

The client had spent seven years on the garden. The lighting had never done it justice — floods lit everything at 100% and killed the drama. We were briefed to make it look like a hotel arrival at dusk.
Every one of the 340 fixtures was catalogued: fitting type, wattage, beam angle, and where it should sit on a dimming curve. We swapped 90 non-dimmable drivers for DALI-2.
Arrival (6pm) — warm entry, tree uplights at 80%. Dinner (9pm) — path lights only, majlis at candlelight. Midnight — moonlight from above the pool, path at 6%.
Scenes shift by minute-of-sunset, not by fixed clock time. The house looks correct in June and December without touching anything.
